Don’t you love when you hear something takes 5 minutes? It’s music to our ears and this 5-minute cranberry sauce is a delight. Simple ingredients, just 3 in fact, bursting with flavor. We prefer a minimally sweetened cranberry relish, but it’s up to you how much coconut sugar you choose to add!

in a small-medium sized pot, add cranberries and water, and bring to a rolling simmer. Cranberries will expand, crack, and soften over the course of a few minutes. After about 5 minutes, stirring often, add the orange zest and continue to cook for several minutes more if necessary, until a chunky, thick sauce has formed. Turn heat down if necessary. That’s all!
Allow to cool before transferring cranberry sauce to a glass container. Store in the fridge so it can become hold and thicken further.
When it’s time to serve Thanksgiving meal, transfer the cranberry sauce to small serving bowls. Garnish with additional orange zest for presentation.
Save time by doing making the cranberry sauce 1 day in advance. Give it a good stir when ready to transfer to serving dish.
