A while back, when we started down this from-scratch journey, we discovered how easy and fast it is to make our own chocolate. This homemade dark chocolate uses just a few ingredients and takes only minutes to throw together. Can you believe that? Satisfying, guilt-free chocolate done in 30 minutes. That’s mind-blowing!
Melt coconut oil and coconut butter over medium-low heat in a small saucepan. When fully melted, add the maple syrup and stir. Turn heat down to low. Next, add the cacao powder and salt. Stir until integrated. Lastly, add the vanilla and stir. Turn off heat.
Line a baking sheet with your chocolate molds like this heart mold or this heart mold or these assorted flower/star molds. transfer chocolate to a container that pour easily, if you have. Next, carefully pour the chocolate into each of the molds until filled. Use a spatula or bread scraper to even out the molds when finished pouring. Transfer baking sheet to the freezer for 30 minutes.
Remove baking sheet from freezer and immediately remove chocolates from the molds. Place them into a glass jar or container, then store in the fridge.
These chocolates will get softer if left at room temperature, so it’s best to serve and enjoy directly out of the fridge.
