Melt butter over medium heat in a medium-large pot. Use a stainless steel whisk to whisk in your flour and ground mustard so that there aren’t any clumps.
Slowly whisk in milk and continue whisking for several minutes until thick. At this point, you may need to turn down the heat slightly, as you don’t want the milk to boil.
Add shredded cheese and whisk in until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Next, add cooked al dente macaroni pasta and serve immediately. Enjoy!
