Fall is officially here which means we’re fully committed to enjoying our pumpkin spice everythings as well as bedazzling our nails in the latest fall nail colors for 2014. This season, we’re especially interested in vegan nail polishes that are not only vibrant and long-lasting, but also free of harmful toxins or “5-free”.
What’s 5-free? 5-free is a polish-world term that means a nail polish does not contain the big 5 toxins commonly found in polish: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). You can learn more about these ingredients here.
Get on top of this season’s manicure trends and see which fall nail colors are oh-so-hot. Kylie Jenner posted a photo of her and Kendall’s neutral manicures on Instagram recently and Khloe Kardashian posted a mirror selfie of herself sporting fabulous blue hued stiletto nails. These fashion trendsetters know a thing or two about the latest mani trends!! Our nail polish recommendations below are all free of animal by-products or animal testing and they’re also gluten-free and vegan! Your hands deserve it 🙂

Fall Nail Colors That Are Vegan
1. Metallic Fingertips
A choice color this season, metallic, is the perfect pop for your fall/winter wardrobe. Metallic nails transition exquisitely from day to night, and come in a wide range of colors. Luxe from LVX is a rich shimmering silver and metallic shade, while Zoya’s Arabella from their PixieDust collection is a brilliant metallic pink.
2. Neutrals
Neutrals are this season’s little black dress of nail polish– classic and oh-so-necessary. Lillian Eve’s Nominate Me from the fall collection is a gorgeous slate grey that is modern and sophisticated. Other neutrals like Pink Ribbon from Butter London add a feminine flair to the neutral palette. Glam up your neutral nails for a night out on the town with a glitter top coat like L.E.’s No Reflection.
3. Mustard
There is simply no other mustard like Amber’s Revenge by Scotch Naturals, and the name is to die for. A muted mustard crème, this shade is the perfect yellow for fall and will complement your winter wardrobe just as well. Pair your favorite mustard yellow mani with a cranberry red trench coat and you’re good to go until spring!
4. Blues
Blues in every shade imaginable were seen all over the runways during New York Fashion Week, so there is no question that the blue hue will be on trend from fall ’14 to spring ’15. Lagoon from Gabriel Cosmetics, a strong cobalt blue, and Ryan from Zoya, a creamy indigo, are both fabulous blue nail polishes for fall.
5. Red
Red is one of those timeless colors that is nearly always in season and always sexy. This year is no exception! Sinful and Haute Night Out from Lillian Eve, whose colors are also 5-free, are stunning yet classic shades perfect for fall. LVX also offers an alternative to the traditional red with Cerise, a beautiful magenta. All three colors pair especially well with deep grey, black, and brown.
