Fashion’s Night Out began in 2009 when Anna Wintour of Vogue started it as a means to encourage consumers to start shopping again in the tough economic climate and to celebrate New York Fashion week. It was a smash hit, so this will be the third year running!
Three words: Fashion’s Night Out! I will be attending “Fame, Fashion, and Flavor: 900’s Night Out“. I am so excited because Bravo’s Brad Goreski (from Rachel Zoe) is the host! To be honest, I purchased my ticket on Gilt City immediately after seeing “900’s Night Out” in the email title. Turns out, I bought VIP access which includes “…access to the TZAR VIP Fashion’s Night Out Lounge … to sip on Grey Goose cocktails and mingle with Chicago’s finest”. Upon further research, I discovered that the cost of VIP access does not come cheep…$1000! Whoa, much thanks to Gilt City for offering me a VIP ticket for a fraction of this whopper! I’m especially excited to see the Flash Fashion Show and I can’t wait to check out Bloomingdale’s, Karen Millen, and Michael Kors, to name a few!
So…what is my plan of attack? Well, for starters I need to think of a fab outfit! I think I’m going to wear a black Hugo Boss dress with a cropped blue BCBG leather jacket I just got. I’ve been meaning to wear my light grey patent Alejandro Ingelmo ‘Sofia’ pumps so I will wear those to pull the whole look together. Just look for the blonde in the crazy tall shoes and blue jacket!
My must-go-to’s are the fashion show (obviously) and Karen Millen! I am expecting/hoping to meet Brad and will definitely grab cocktails at the TZAR VIP Lounge! I will keep all of you posted about the events throughout the night and will follow up with my thoughts afterwards! Until then, come find me at the 900 Shops!
