We are so excited for KAABOO Del Mar this weekend! To ensure that this music festival “mix-perience” be the best time ever, we have listed pertinent KAABOO details you need to know about before heading out to Del Mar for the weekend. What You Need To Know Before Heading To KAABOO
- How To Get To KAABOO: Well it depends on your mode of transportation (see #2 for options)
- Purchase Parking in Advance. On-site parking, VIP, and Valet are not available for purchase at KAABOO.
- Valet parking (arrive at Main gate off Jimmy Durante Blvd) – $60/day
- VIP On site parking (arrive at Solana gate off Via de La Valle) – $40/day
- On site parking (arrive at Gate 21 or Main gate off Jimmy Durante Blvd) – $27/day
- Off-site parking (arrive at 3661 Valley Centre Drive) – $20/day

- Public Transportation – $12/day
- Valet parking for bicyclists at the main gate (bicyclists are entered to win a VIP upgrade! )
- Taxi and Ride – sharing including Uber and Lyft Location is undisclosed.
- Weather at KAABOO – hot during the day with temperatures in the high 80’s and cool during the night with temperatures close to the high 60’s.

- Music Festival attire includes shorts, skirts and tank or t-shirts
- Close-toed shoes are normally nice to keep your feet clean – sneakers, Soludos, Supergas, Converse, or booties
- A hat will shield you from the sun and add festival style to your look
- Maxi dress or loose sun dresses will be classy for KAABOO
- A long-sleeve shirt or button down is great to put in your bag for when it gets chilly

- Do NOT bring a Selfie Stick and do NOT bring a drone
- Bring hand sanitizer
- Bring a FuelRod to charge your phone in your purse. There are charging stations at KAABOO, but you may find that you need a little extra battery charge at the end of the day when Gwen Stefani wants to take a selfie with you!

- Wear your wristband on your RIGHT wrist and your Fastpass on your LEFT wrist

- How To Pick up Wristbands – The box office will open at the Main Gates (Jimmy Durante Boulevard) on Monday, September 14th to redeem physical tickets for wristbands.
- Monday, September 14 – Thursday, September 17th, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- During KAABOO: September 18th-20th, 9am-10pm
- Do NOT buy wristbands from scalpers. They could have already been activated and used and thus will not allow you access inside.
- Do NOT take off your wristband for any reason during the weekend. It is your admission all weekend. No funny business with switching wristbands. It has an RFID tag and tracks who is going in and out.
- Activate your wristband online before you put it on. Mandatory.
- Reserve a locker in advance. They will sell out. The price includes a $20 key deposit which you will get back when you return the key.
- Fastpasses, formerly the Zipline, are soldout! Sorry! The next best way to avoid the lines is to upgrade to VIP.
- What to Eat – Posh Nosh area for artisanal options. No Coachella style vendors here.
- Experience the culinary world at “Palate” located next to Posh Nosh and offers upscale sampling of food from 18 local restaurants, and 20 California wineries, and 25 craft distilleries.
- Get access to the Pool Deck at “BASK” which gives you direct viewing access to the main stage.
- Joel McHale (Saturday at 11pm – midnight) and Jeff Garlin (Saturday at 6:30-7:30pm) and other comedians performing in an A/C seated area – “Humor Me” Stage.
- Craft Beer Garden located off of Kaaboolevard
- KAABOO Rock’n Chef Competition with Celebrity Chefs – Saturday, September 19th 12-6pm
- Competitors: Amy Dibiase, Brian Malarkey, Chad White, James Montejano, Jason McLeod, Javier Plascencia
- Judges: Master Chef Ferdinand Metz, Candice Woo of EATER SD, Darlene Horn of ZAGAT, Josh Kopelman of DiningOutSD, and Sam the Cooking Guy
- Emcee: Troy Johnson of San Diego Magazine
- Semi-finals: Six chefs will be divided into three groups of two. They are required to make two courses each: one appetizer and one entrée in the allotted 60 minute time frame. The two courses will be served to a panel of judges who will score them on three areas: creativity, taste and presentation.
- Final: The two chefs with the highest scores will advance to the final round to create two courses: one entrée and one dessert. In honor of KAABOO artist Zac Brown Band and their popular song “Chicken Fried”, the theme of the entrée will be a chicken fried recipe sponsored by Mary’s Chickens. The judges will decide who will be crowned KAABOO’s Rock’n Chef.
