Legendary jewelry designer David Yurman opened the doors of its Madison Avenue townhouse to celebrate the holiday season alongside VOGUE Magazine on Tuesday evening. The fete, which was packed with top bloggers such as Kelly Framel of The Glamourai, Jamie Beck of From Me To You, and Rebecca & Renee (Teen Vogue buddies!) of Styluste, showcased The David Yurman Holiday Collection throughout all three floors.
While enjoying champagne and mini ‘DY’ chocolate truffles, I discovered “The Tourbillon” – one of the 25 limited edition timepieces from the Ancestrale collection. Priced at $29,000, this rose gold watch is completely custom-made from the wristband to its “jumping hours” dial.
Inspired after visiting a vineyard in Cognac, France the designer named his collection “Ancestrale” after a very rare, exceptional, and highly coveted Cognac that is passed down from one generation to the next.
Although the men’s collection on the second floor was impeccable, the women’s collection of rings displayed on the first floor was beyond glamorous! A bold black onyx and diamond ring was the highlight. New versions of the signature chain necklaces had touches of black diamonds such as the Cordelia Necklace with black pave diamonds on its center chain link.
Overall, a fantastic holiday party to kick off the season as well as one more reason to want to add a David Yurman piece to your wish list!
