I’m all about simplicity, so when I am able to find a little jacket that’s simple, yet so exquisite, I’m all over it! A jacket that’s embellished with fur, sequins, and embroidery is the investment piece that I was after this winter season – and I found it! Son Jung Wan’s fall 2012/winter 2013 collection is filled with understated outerwear garments that have so much pizazz, like the little zip-front, short-sleeved jacket that I’m sporting below. (See full Son Jung Wan Fall 2012/ Winter 2013 runway collection on Elle.com, here). This winter 2013, I recommend that you find an embellished jacket that can be worn in many more ways than 1. The jacket need not be flamboyantly hued, but rather, opt for an embellished jacket in understated hues: gray, camel, silver, or gold that you can see yourself wearing day or night.

Below, I’ve combined a pair of Son Jung Wan fall 2012 silk turquoise trousers with a Son Jung Wan fall 2012 embellished jacket. The ruffle sleeve, neutral-hued jacket top that’s lined in fur, sequins, and bead embellishments can be paired with trouser pants, a high-waisted skirt, slouchy or skinny jeans, leather skinnies, etc. What’s more, the little statement piece can go day or night, business or pleasure, casual or dressy. I’m also wearing below a pair of Theyskens’ Theory ombre green suede/patent wedges, Alexander McQueen watersnake clutch, and gold chandelier earrings by Miguel Ases.
Son Jung Wan’s Fall 2012 Collection is available at Catherina in Oakmont, PA and Miss Jackson’s in Tulsa, OK.
