One of the things that we love most about spring is the large array of incredible and fresh ingredients and what better than attend a San Diego cooking class? Did you know that choosing ingredients that are actually “in season” means that they have way more nutrients in them than if they were not “in season”? We absolutely love the San Diego spring season and now is the right time to pack in more salads, anti-inflammatory ingredients, and cleansing foods to your diet so how about about a healthy spring cooking class!?
As the days are getting longer (more daylight, yay!), there is more time to do the things that we love, which is why we have been spending more time in the kitchen! And now, you’re invited to join our kitchen too.
Below, we’ve listed details about a fabulous upcoming San Diego cooking class that allows its participants to work with all spring season ingredients. This fabulous cooking class, taught by Personal Chef Michelle Koenig and myself, will educate its participants about the dangers of inflammation. In order to reduce inflammation and combat free-radicals, we must eat a diet that is rich in Omega 3’s and anti-oxidants.
Editor’s Note: Amy Pamensky, San Diego Nutritionist and Natural Chef of Nourished Balance, will be teaching a cooking class in Solana Beach, CA (see details below) on Tuesday, April 22. Amy will be using only fresh “in season” ingredients for spring and all of the dishes will be light, cleansing, and packed with high quality nutrients.
San Diego Cooking Class – “Spring Greens In the Kitchen”
One of the key highlights of this cooking class is learning about how to reduce inflammation through anti-inflammatory foods. During the class, participants will be using lots of fresh anti-oxidants and will be incorporating Omega-3s with their Salmon dish. We hear the terms “anti-inflammatory” and “anti-oxidants” a lot but what do they really mean? Well, our bodies intake a lot of toxins from the environment and we experience way more stress than ever before. This causes free-radicals to oxidize in our bodies, which leads to more inflammation. In order to reduce inflammation and combat those free-radicals, we need to eat a diet that is rich in Omega 3s and anti-oxidant nutrients.
