Remember New York Fashion Week a few weeks ago? Well, kicking off the night before the start of fashion Week, the Soho Grand hosted a suave art viewing party for a collaboration called “New Female” featuring photographer, Meagan Cignoli and artist, Audrey Shanahan. We love Meagan and Audrey’s work and want to introduce you to their wonderful collection!
Here’s how the collab works: Meagan Cignoli photographed her muses in Rio de Janeiro, Reyjavik, NY and LA. Then, Audrey Shanahan painted the photographs, and finally Architectural Digest’s Courtney Grace Peterson curated the photograph and painting pairs that showed strength in femininity. While at the party, New Yorkers sipped champagne in the Club Room and viewed the art whilst DJ Tennessee Thomas spun the evening away. This was a fantastic way to end a day that had been filled with fashion presentations – which had us cabbing back and forth from midtown to meatpacking to Soho all day long!
By the way, we loved Meagan’s incredible, oversized, sock bun and want to know how she created it. Not to worry though, we’ll be showcasing more of the amazing sock and top buns soon. Below, we’ve showcased some of the guests at the party as well as some of the pieces from “New Female”. Hope you enjoy!
