Club Monaco is a global brand that delivers high-end casual and professional clothing at mid-priced affordability. The brand represents a classic, utilitarian style with an urban twist. Aside from their clothing, Club Monaco is being used as an example for their remarkable blog design. As one of four breakout sessions at FABB, Ben Lebowitz, Social Media Manager of Club Monaco, will present tips on how to design a blog to be attractive, engaging, and useful to a brand.
Culture Club, the name of Club Monaco’s successful blog, has a section called “Makers and Muses” which features successful people who’s businesses are in line with the style of the Club Monaco brand. The Makers and Muses section provides inspiration on topics such as fashion, music, photography, food, art, literature, and much more.
The design of any blog is very important as it provides the first impression for the viewer. For Culture Club, a clean, basic template avoids distracting the reader and draws the eye to the high quality, artistic images, that go much beyond the fashions that Club Monaco sells. Articles are brief to avoid intimidating the reader, while still providing an understanding and awareness of the featured person and their product. From the article, readers are able to click through to the product described in the blog to purchase if they desire. This is great as the blog is interesting to review and educates the reader, all while driving sales of the featured product.
Culture Club further showcases Club Monaco’s Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, YouTube, and Instagram networks, providing a visionary and inspirational set of images and stories that delve deep inside the brand. Ben Lebowitz has clearly created a very successful social house for Club Monaco, so we are excited to learn from his recommendations and insider tips at Lucky FABB.
