Leather jackets, pants and skirts are all rather stylish for fall. We have talked a great deal about leather jackets in the past, which should continue to be worn throughout the fall and winter, but they are not the topic of discussion today. For this style session, we focus specifically on the leather skirt. Once you’ve found a leather skirt that flatters your figure, you’ll be able to style it in so many different ways for the fall season, based on our style tips.
Keep in mind that the leather skirt can always be layered for the cold winter with knit tights, boots and an overcoat. For non-leather lovers, or those not looking to dish out extra money for a leather item, there are several faux leather or vegan leather skirts for under $100! For a real leather skirt, you should expect to pay $250-$500 (or more). Below, we show you 3 different ways to style a leather mini skirt during the fall season be it the equestrian look, a cozy/chunky sweater look, or a look fit for warmer climates such as SoCal, Arizona, and Floriday. We then show off some of our favorite vegan and leather skirts for you to shop this fall/winter. Pleated leather minis are all the rage too – check them out!

3 Different Ways To Wear A Leather Mini Skirt:
1. Equestrian Style
The polka dot trend was huge in fashion during 2012 and it quickly transformed into dots that were of mini motifs like hearts, elephants and even horses. The equestrian style is always a classic style in the fall and winter, making one appear to be headed to the barn to groom their horse or take a ride. The equestrian style is easy to do without having to be head-to-toe jockey in riding boots, jodphurs, blouse and jacket.
For this look, we have taken inspiration from equestrian riders with the horse print motif navy blouse and paired it with an A-line leather mini skirt. Instead of pants, the skirt is a feminine way of making this outfit less show and more casual or fun. Equestrians wear leather chaps, boots and gloves, so this skirt helps to add to the look we are going for. The jacket we have chosen has gold buttons that are tied together with a gold chain-embellished belt.

2. Cozy Style
This look includes a chunky knit, oversized sweater that is comfortable and cozy, paired with our on-trend leather skirt. Your favorite chunky or platform boot or even a flat riding boot would be appropriate for this outfit, as long as each piece is in earth tones (or the same overall palette as the skirt you wear).

3. California Style
A leather skirt does not have to be overly complicated. Seriously, no joke! This simple outfit we have created includes only a T-shirt and slender belt. In essence, when you combine a leather skirt, tee, and sunnies, you have an ensemble that screams
I am so cool and I am not even trying…
So why not give it a try all you Florida and Cali residents?
