The month of October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and pink is everywhere. From plastic reusable totes at your local grocer to pink cleats on NFL players it’s hard to not think about the ones who lost their battle, strong survivors and millions of women battling breast cancer including the recently added E! News star Giuliana Rancic.

Giuliana has kept us up to date on celebrity gossip on E! network’s “E! News” for many years and also hosted on the celebrity fashion board of Fashion Police along side Kelly Osborne.
Her husband, Bill Rancic, stars with her on their hit reality newlyweds show “Giuliana and Bill” where the couple has shared their first years of marriage through house buying, decorating and recently their struggles with infertility.
36-year-old Giuliana revealed her fight against breast cancer on The Today Show with anchor Ann Curry. She had been visiting a new fertility doctor for IVF in Colorado and was shocked when he requested that she get a mammogram before any treatments take place. According to Rancic,
I wasn’t preparing to get a mammogram until I was 40 years-old, I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong
After the Rancics were told that she was in the early stages of breast cancer, she was shocked. She admitted in her interview with Ann Curry that she immediately burst into tears and felt as if her entire world had collapsed. We’re not exactly sure how long she has been keeping this private, but we’re guessing it’s been a while. She admitted,
There was a long period of time where I thought I was going to hide this from everyone, that I didn’t need to tell anyone. And then as time went by, I would see friends of mine that didn’t know, and I would think, “God, I wish I could let her know what I’m going through so that she goes and get checked.
The news is terribly saddening, but Giuliana is keeping her head up and using this as an example for all women, not just her close friends and family, that we all need to do our part and truly be aware about this disease.
Now ladies, it’s really easy for us to get checked on a regular basis and the truth is, the earlier you could find it the higher your chances of survival and kicking it in the bud! You can start learning more about Breast Cancer and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure today!
For now, Giuliana will have to put dreams of a baby aside and direct her full attention towards her fight against breast cancer. We are keeping our hopes up for our favorite TV host to have a successful treatment and to join the list of millions of survivors. Watch Giuliana break the big news on the Today Show:

No one is too safe…even Guiliana with no family history and 36 yrs old ~ Mammograms are important even for 26 year olds. Thanks for posting this. Many of us can relate to Guiliana, she is so young.
